Multivitamins

Avoid multivitamins

Unless prescribed for you by your physician, avoid multivitamins, instead take individual vitamins. Multivitamins contain high amounts of copper. Researchers have noted that individuals who develop cancers have higher amounts of copper in their bodies. Additionally multiple vitamins can contain many of the fat soluble vitamins that can result in an overdose. It is best to take vitamins specifically needed allowing the body to continue to manufacture its own vitamins from the foods we eat such as B12 from our intake. Certain vitamins if taken after 2pm, interrupt a restful night's sleep i.e. B vitamins. Some individuals alternate months of vitamins following one month on, one month off.

Multivitamins are one consumer source of inorganic forms of chromium, copper, nickel, tin and and vanadium, found on the labels of many mass marketed multivitamins.

How do you easily swallow large tablets such as vitamin C?

If bananas are allowed in the diet, try chewing a bite of banana but do not swallow it. Place the tablet in amongst the chewed banana and swallow both together without chewing the pill.
