POLYCYSTIC KIDNEY DISEASE DIET

Recipes

Danevas

PKD Recipes is home to many more alkaline recipes. Through maintaining alkalinity one can keep the integration of ones own personal DNA intact, squelching the second hit mechanism that causes an increase in cyst numbers and symptoms. Most of these recipes are alkaline and generally beneficial for individuals with polycystic livers and polycystic kidneys. Choose from the pulldown menu below for alkaline recipes. If you continue to enjoy animal proteins try a lamb stew or choose some better animal protein choices. A protein chart of some common foods has been made by a fellow PKD'r. Some have experienced success in limiting symptoms through diet.

The second group of recipes have been put together by an incredibly supportive wife for her husband with PKD. She has graciously given her permission to post her recipes here. PKD Recipes now contains many of these recipes. Send us a favorite recipe.

We are  sharing our experiences with PKD/PLD Diet, an adjunct diet envisioning it complementing a physician's prescribed medical therapy. Consider testing this with your doctor's prior knowledge, who can  adjust it according to your own uniqueness by adding it to your current  treatment.
