BENEFICIAL Tupelo honey is among those foods of benefit for a cystic liver whereas clover honey is very harmful to cystic livers. Clover contains GEN, an estrogen disruptor, yet clover honey is one of the most common and inexpensive honeys available. Saw Palmetto honey may have similar qualities to tupelo honey and linden flower [another tree honey] may also be beneficial. Tree honeys seem to not granulate because they are high in levulose a sugar that bypasses the liver in its absorption. I have experienced tupelo honey. Tupelo does not cause blood sugar fluctuations, or a rise in cholesterol, or liver aches.
