Wormseed

Avoid wormseed

Wormseed (Chenopodium ambrosioides) has been known as wormseed for its ability to expel intestinal worms such as hookworm and flatworm. There have been some deaths attributed to wormseed and that is why today it has grown into non use. Wormseed has been tested on guinea pig skin and was found to completely inhibit the proliferation of fungus in an eco-friendly manner. The compound called ascaridoles is contained in wormseed and it is believed to be very toxic against fungus. All parts of the plant possess anthelmintic properties. The leaves of Chenopodium ambrosioides have been used to lower blood pressure and treat diabetes in Morocco.
