Woodruff
Avoid woodruff
(Galium odoratum)
Sweet Woodruff, Galium odoratum, also known as Asperula odorata, is detrimental to PKD/PLD and to be avoided. Woodruff is an anticoagulant and may cause bleeding tendencies. It can severely affect blood coagulation especially when unknowingly combined with an anti-coagulation drug such as Coumadin. A number of medicinal herbs contain coumarin, salicylate, or other platelet-inhibiting substances that can increase the risk of interoperative and postoperative bleeding. If you use woodruff put it aside two weeks prior to any surgery.
