Rooibos

Caution Rooibos

Rooibos or redbush (Aspalathus linearis) when taken in large amounts it may harm liver and kidney function and impair fertility.

Rooibos tea regularly can protect against a process known as lipid peridoxation; occurs when free radicals damage brain cells and nerve tissue. If this is prolonged, it can lead eventually to progressive and deteriorating brain disease. Encourages restful sleep due to its lack of caffeine; aids absorption of iron; relieves stomach complaints high levels of flavonoids, especially one called quercetin. It has the ability to relieve numerous abdominal ailments such as cramps, diarrhea, indigestion; improves circulation; high mineral content; powerful antioxidants; caffeine free, very low in Tannic Acid and is naturally sweet. Protects against cardiovascular disease, progressive and deteriorating brain disease, such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.

African Autumn Tea, African Nectar Tea, Redbush Tea, Red Tea, Rooibos chai, rooibos Tea, all contain rooibos and are to be avoided.
