Tooth Pain
Plain darvon banned by the FDA or propoxyphene for pain relief after a tooth extraction and a root canal might be preferable to tylenol or Ibuprofen or aspirin or NSAIDs except that Darvon has just been taken off the drug program because there is a higher incidence of heart complaints with individuals taking darvon. If one can tolerate plain codeine this too can be helpful but oftentimes constipating. To maintain healthy gums, I have been told to place the toothbrush at an angle over the gums and massage the gums for about as long as one brushes their teeth. Some feel that healthy teeth are a reflection of healthy bones.
