Process walnuts and slowly add water in food processor until it is the consistency of a paté. Mix in remaining ingredients by hand. Serve alongside thin zucchini slices, or cucumbers, or  sunchokes or jicama slices to be used as crackers for the paté dip.


I first tasted this at a health food fair and found it really delicious.

  1. -3 cups walnuts, soaked overnight,

  2. -1 c purified water

  3. -1/4 c minced red onion

  4. -1/4 c minced parsley

  5. -2 T lemon juice

  6. -1 T hemp seed oil

  7. -1/8 t Himalayan salt (omit)

  8. -1 small garlic clove

  9. -1 thin slice turmeric or 1 tsp curry powder
