Enjoy Hemp seed Oil

Extensive research indicates that omega-3 fatty acids reduce inflammation and help prevent certain chronic diseases such as heart disease. Omega Profile for hemp oil is one of the richest sources of omega 3's. According to the World Health Organization, the ideal ratio of Omega 6 to Omega 3 is 4:1. The omegas found in hemp foods are closer to this ideal at 3.75:1. Hemp oil has both long and short-chained EFAs for beneficial, daily, lifelong consumption. Organic hemp oil is cold pressed from non-GMO seeds that are farmed in a sustainable way. Manitoba Harvest makes hemp seed oil capsules.

Ah excellent combination of raw oils is one tablespoon of olive oil plus 1 teaspoon of raw hemp seed oil to give you the best combination of essential fatty acids, omega 3's, and omega 6's.

Hemp Seed Powder

Some have tried supplementing their diet with hemp seed powder.

Lower Cholesterol

It requires large amounts of hemp supplementation to make a difference in cholesterol levels. If it is coupled with a cholesterol lowering diet, hemp is more effective. If you choose not to change your diet then statins or red rice yeast is better. But with these supplements one runs the risk of depleting Co-enzyme Q10 which can result in joint pain and injury.

Rare Omega GLA

Hemp oil is one of the few sources of a rare Omega 6 called gamma-linoleic acid (GLA). Some studies have shown that GLA may help with liver health, heart health, weight management, dry skin and many other benefits to the body. The human body coverts GLA into hormone-like compounds called prostaglandins, which also help to regulate inflammation. This can help with joint mobility, arthritis and asthma.

Essential Fatty Acids

Hempseed oil capsules, purslane, and chia seeds all contain essential fatty acids and have similar benefits to flax without increasing PLD liver size or causing liver aches. Flax causes intense liver pains and is to be avoided. A salad dressing made from 1 teaspoon raw hempseed oil and 1 tablespoon of virgin pressed olive oil is said to contain all the necessary daily good fats needed by a person. Add a few drops of lemon juice and some pressed garlic to make an interesting dressing for leafy vegetables.

For those with cystic organs, hemp seems a better alternative for getting essential fatty acids and omega 3's. Organic capsules are available from Manitoba Harvest. The image below shows that hemp contains much more linoleic acid, very beneficial for PLD and cystic organs. Some other fatty acids that are beneficial include chia seed and purslane.
