Himalayan Salt

Himalayan salt

Some have been successful using Himalayan salt to regulate blood pressure, just a few drops of solé in a full glass of water each morning. Use of this salt does not exceed ⅛ teaspoon per day. Himalayan salt crystals are mined from a low-lying region nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas, over an area of approximately 200 square miles, in the northwest of Pakistan. The sea covering this region has long sense evaporated due to climatic changes. Powerful tectonic movements gave rise to the Himalayan range. The enormous pressure accompanying the buckling of the Earth's crust provoked the formation of cubic crystalline structures.

Himalayan salt was once called King's salt, known as white gold. Together with pure spring water, Himalayan Crystal Salt offers all the natural elements exactly identical to the 84 elements contained within your body in similar proportions. These are the same elements found existing in the primal sea. By substituting Himalayan salt for the 1/8 teaspoon of salt permitted daily on a low salt, some have found a lowering of blood pressure especially when accompanied by drinking several large glasses of water.

Water and Salt the Essence of Life

is an interesting book with information on Himalayan pink salt. With PKD it is always best to keep salt at a minimum not to exceed 1200 mg of sodium per day. Many of us have tried eliminating salt from cooking and when absolutely necessary using no more than 1/8 teaspoon of Himalayan pink salt per day.
