Mistletoe

Avoid Mistletoe

There are several types of mistletoe. Phoradendron (mistletoe) species contains phoratoxin, which can cause blurred vision, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, blood pressure changes, and even death. The Viscum species of mistletoe contain a slightly different group of chemicals, including the poisonous alkaloid tyramine, which produce essentially the same symptoms.

Although mistletoe has therapeutic uses, eating any part of the plant (particularly the leaves or berries) or drinking a tea from the plant can result in sickness and possibly even death. Avoid detrimental to PKD/PLD.

We are  sharing our experiences with PKD/PLD Diet, an adjunct diet envisioning it complementing a physician's prescribed medical therapy. Consider testing this with your doctor's prior knowledge, who can  adjust it according to your own uniqueness by adding it to your current  treatment.
